Not only did this startle the woman, but also, it scared her enough that she ran off, dropping the baby.

From the looks of things, this was an actual rat flying by, and not a bat. When it comes to animals, there are a lot of things that get misconstrued. First, there is the myth that a bat is a rat who flies. In actuality, a bat is nothing more than a flying mammal. While they share characteristics with rodents, like rats, they are actually more closely related to humans. When this animal came flying by this woman, she was unconcerned with what animal group it belonged to. Her only concern was getting out of the way.

The woman is facing plenty of backlash on social media for how she did her baby. First, the woman had her baby walking on the sand at night, with no shoes on.
