Alligator squeezes through fence and builds nest in man’s yard
A cost of doing business by living in Florida is dealing with alligators. But one man really had a nightmare situation on his hands. In his backyard, the man saw a pile of leaves. It turns out, this was an alligator nest. Somehow, a gator took over his backyard, despite it being fenced in. A six foot mother alligator managed to squeeze into his fence and build a nest.
Most of Florida is swamp and marshland. As a result, there are an overflow of alligators and crocodiles, but they have to reside somewhere. Florida is home to the Everglades, among other places. Locations such as those are meant to be a sanctuary for animals like crocs and gators. However, as the demand for housing continues to increase, these habitats for those animals get invaded.
One man saw his entire life invaded, as he witnessed the impossible. When the man was in his backyard, he saw an alligator poke its head through his fence. After some maneuvering, the gator managed to squeeze in the fence, which was only a few inches wide. It turns out, the leaves in the back yard were the gator’s nest, where her eggs were held. Now the man is waiting on the city to remove the gator and the nest.
