Ice Spice receives gold plaque for “Munch” single at Summer Jam
On Sunday, the annual Summer Jam concert in New York was held. The new venue was UBS Arena, in Elmont, which is on the Long Island area of NY. One of the headlining performers was Bronx native Ice Spice, who had a fan-favorite performance. In addition, she received her first major RIAA certification in front of the crowd.
Ice Spice performed her myriad of latest hits, which includes her 2022 breakout single, “Munch (Feelin’ U).” Not only did that song put her on the map, but it also helped her land major co-signs. Furthermore, during her set, she also received her official RIAA gold certification plaque for Munch.
Munch was officially certified gold in the US, in May. This certification is awarded after selling over 500,000 units. Munch also went on to appear on Spice’s debut “Like..?” EP, which was released in January. That project went on to see a very solid debut on the Billboard 200 chart, at number 37.
Meanwhile, Spice continues to soar to even more bigger stardom. Last week, she appeared on Taylor Swift’s “Karma” remix. Nicki Minaj was also featured on Spice’s “Princess Diana” remix, in April.
