Macklemore Announces “Free Palestine Tour”
Macklemore is turning his newly open touring schedule into a new platform for Palestinian advocacy.
The Seattle rapper has announced the “Free Palestine Tour,” a three-date European run that will take place in Dublin, Paris and London later this year. The announcement comes shortly after Macklemore was removed from the remaining U.S. dates of Ed Sheeran’s Loop Tour following his outspoken support for Palestinians during recent performances.
Macklemore announced the new tour on Thursday, September 24. The first three shows are scheduled for October 26 in Dublin, October 29 in Paris and October 30 in London. Additional dates, including possible shows in the United States, could be announced later.
The upcoming concerts will also serve a charitable purpose. Macklemore said proceeds from the shows will benefit organizations supporting Palestinians and humanitarian efforts.
Macklemore Announces Three European Shows
The “Free Palestine Tour” will begin in Dublin on October 26. Macklemore will then perform in Paris on October 29 before wrapping the initial European run in London on October 30.
The rapper has not ruled out adding more dates to the tour. His newly available schedule has opened the door for him to build a larger concert run around the cause that has become increasingly important to him publicly.
Tickets are scheduled to enter presale on Monday, September 28, with the general sale beginning Wednesday, September 30.
