Lil Baby and more headline Jaylen Brown’s 741 Frequency Fest
Nearly 15,000 people from across New England gathered at Boston Common on Sunday for 741 Frequency Fest, a massive community celebration powered by Jaylen Brown, 741 and the 7uice Foundation.
The event served as both a farewell to Boston and a celebration of Brown’s decade-long relationship with the city. After spending nearly 10 years with the Boston Celtics, Brown is preparing to begin a new chapter with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Rather than simply marking the end of his time in Boston, 741 Frequency Fest highlighted the relationships Brown built throughout the city and the impact he has made away from the basketball court.

The event featured food trucks, carnival games, music and family-friendly activities throughout the day. Young attendees were able to receive complimentary haircuts from Marvelous Cuts and nail services from Naoir B Salon as families prepared for the upcoming school year.
The 7uice Foundation also distributed backpacks filled with school supplies to local youth, helping families prepare for the return to school.
Hoopbus was also on hand, giving fans an opportunity to show off their basketball skills and practice their best slam dunks.
These activities helped make the event about more than music and celebrity appearances. Families were able to spend the day together while receiving services and resources designed to support the local community.
741 Brings Sneaker Culture To Boston Common
Brown’s independent performance brand, 741, also played a major role in the festivities.
The brand brought its signature pop-up truck to Boston Common, giving fans an opportunity to shop its merchandise during the celebration.
One of the biggest attractions was the green Rover sneaker, which was available for a special one-day-only price of $100.
The activation added another dimension to the event, connecting Brown’s community work with his growing interests in fashion, footwear and entrepreneurship.
For fans who have followed Brown beyond basketball, the 741 presence offered an opportunity to experience another side of his creative vision.

A Surprise Concert Takes Over Boston Common

DJ TE, DJ Mez and DJ Real P helped provide the soundtrack throughout the celebration, while Herv handled MC duties. Boston’s own DJ Pup Dawg eventually closed out the festivities.
Legendary MC and Boston native Free, best known for her iconic tenure on 106 & Park, served as host and helped keep the energy high as thousands of people packed Boston Common.
What began as a community-centered celebration eventually turned into one of the summer’s biggest surprise concerts.
Rising performers Yanna and Money MyFace kicked off the performances before a star-studded lineup took the stage.
Cambridge native Millyz represented the local scene, while Big Boss Vette, Smino, Belly Gang Kushington, Veeze and FERG added major star power to the afternoon.
Massachusetts native Joyner Lucas also took the stage, giving the hometown crowd another reason to celebrate local talent.
Then came an unexpected appearance from Lil Jon.
The legendary performer surprised the crowd with a pop-out, creating one of the afternoon’s biggest moments.
Lil Baby eventually closed out the concert, delivering the final major performance and bringing an electric conclusion to the musical portion of the celebration.
Boston Honors Jaylen Brown
Following the performances, the focus shifted back toward Brown and his impact on Massachusetts.
Boston Mayor Michelle Wu joined Brown for a special presentation recognizing his contributions to the city.
During the ceremony, the city unveiled “Jaylen Brown Way,” honoring the basketball star’s connection to Boston and the work he has done throughout his time in the area.
Brown was also honored by state representatives with a Key to the Fifth District on behalf of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
The recognitions reflected the unique relationship Brown developed with Boston throughout his career.
