T.I. recognizes Latto as Trapper Of The Year at Trap Music Museum
On Thursday, the Trap Music Museum turned up the heat at its annual “Trapper of The Year” celebration, honoring Latto with a night of glitz and glamour. The event, which drew over 500 attendees, marked a landmark moment in TMM history, powered by the dynamic energy of media partner Revolt.
The red carpet was a dazzling display of star power, with hosts Kay and Trap Fairy Princess leading the festivities. Atlanta’s own Fly Guy DC captivated as the main host, while DJ AD and DJ Smartt spun high-energy sets that kept the crowd moving all night.
The guest list also featured Fat Joe, Young Dro, comedian Karlous Miller, and rap stars Big Boss Vette, Kamillion, Seddy Hendrinx, and Quay Global, all coming out to celebrate Latto’s groundbreaking achievements. Adding a touch of fun, comedian Navv Greene led the “Lil Karaoke” segment, where guests performed Latto’s chart-topping hits.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the “Trapper of The Year” award by TMM owner and rap legend T.I.. In a heartfelt speech, Tip praised Latto’s relentless hustle and her embodiment of Atlanta’s rich culture. He presented her with the custom Diamond TOTY ring and unveiled a stunning new art installation: a life-sized wax figure of Latto, crafted by renowned artist Mr. Official. The piece, surrounded by Georgia peaches and a custom car by Jerrel Ganantt, paid tribute to Latto’s roots and achievements.
Moreover, this event comes after Latto dorpped off her third studio album, “Sugar Honey Iced Tea,” this month. That project contained 22 songs, including huge features from Megan Thee Stallion, Flo Milli, Ciara, and much more.
