This weekend, Ice Spice released her second single of 2024. This was “Gimmie A Light,” which samples Sean Paul’s 2002 “Gimme The Light” single. Moreover, Spice continued to tap into a more party and drill vibe on this record. Furthermore, the Gimmie A Light video has also since accumulated 1.5 million views on YouTube.

Meanwhile, Ice Spice is also set to be honored in her hometown of New York City in another major way. The Bronx native will be displayed on MetroCards for train rides in the city, per ABC 7. This is to celebrate her forthcoming debut studio album, “Y2K.” The release date for this project has still yet to be revealed, though. But, Spice did reveal several months ago, that the album is completed. The title is named after her January 1, 2000 birth date.

50,000 Ice Spice MetroCards will be available, and will be available throughout Manhattan and The Bronx. They can officially be purchased on May 13, at he Fordham Road 4 train station, the Fordham Road B, D station, 34-Street Penn Station on the A, C, E line and at Times Square-42nd Street.
