Woman gets called catfish as she looks different with makeup on
Makeup and filters have people, men and women, looking nothing like themselves. Many people get shocked when they see people they know from social media in real life. The original slang meaning of “catfish” was someone literally posing as someone else. Nowadays, it’s also used to refer to people altering their looks. This woman is really catching it on social media, as her left is the “before” and her “after’ has her looking almost identical to Yung Miami.
For many reasons, people alter their looks before taking photos. Even when it comes to historic figures, they had their imperfections hidden. A few years ago, an artist came up with a composite of what a lot of historical figures would look like today. This meant changing their hairstyles to fit modern times and adding in their imperfections. Some questioned why these historic figures wanted their portraits done in certain ways. The answer is obvious, to erase their imperfections from history.
With this woman, her face has made her famous for a day. Rather, both of her faces have made her famous for a day. The woman allowed her face to be used by a makeup artist for a “before” and “after,” which has subjected her to much ridicule. On the left, clearly the woman wasn’t wearing any kind of makeup. Therefore, she didn’t look as nice as she would even like. However, the photo on the right looks more like Yung Miami than what she looks like. As a result, social media has jokes.
