Benzino has tried, several times, to make peace with Eminem. From 2012, until early this year, Benzino said he wanted to have a conversation. All of the peace talk went out the window, when Eminem dropped a surprise Benzino diss track. After that, Benzino came with “Rap Elvis” and it looks like there’s no end in sight to this drama. Recently, Benzino took a trip to Detroit, where he did a music video to his Em diss track at his Mom’s Spaghetti restaurant.

Benzino has had a unique career in the music and publishing industry. Despite him being a “struggle” rapper, he was also one of the most powerful men in the industry. Because of his relationship with the publisher, Dave Mays, Benzino once owned half of The Source. When they were the top hip hop publication, Benzino reigned supreme. However, bad investments coincided with the bad timing of the feud with Eminem. Those things brought Benzino down.

Benzino admitted his past mistakes, as his life played out on “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.” Also, in his interviews, he revealed he had personal issues going on. When he was doing these diss tracks, Benzino admitted his mental space wasn’t all the way correct. In addition, he reached out to Eminem several times to officially make peace. Em never reached back out and did his diss track. Recently, he dropped the video for it. Now, Benzino has gone to Mom’s Spaghetti to do his diss video in Detroit.
