Afro Nation festival announces return to Detroit in 2024
Over the last several years, Afro Nation has established itself as the biggest Afrobeats festival in the world. This continued in 2023, as festivals were held in Miami, Portugal, as well as their inaugural weekend in Detroit.
Meanwhile, Afro Nation just revealed that they will in fact be returning to Detroit again, for 2024. These dates will be held from August 17-18, as Bedrock’s Douglass Site will be the host site of Afro Nation, once again. This was once a historic housing project in Detroit that was the first federally funded housing project for African Americans in the United States, and is also known as the former home to musical legends such as Diana Ross and Smokey Robinson. Furthermore, Afto Nation Detroit will also be the only Afro Nation festival in the United States, for 2024.
2023 featured plenty of star-studded performances in Detroit, over the course of two days. These were headlined by Burna Boy, Davido, Latto, Coi Leray, Masego, Skillibeng, and much more. Therefore, the official lineup for 2024 will be unveiled very soon.
