Uncle Luke honored by city of Miami for 63rd birthday
Over the last 35 years, Uncle Luke has been one of the most iconic rappers out of the south. The Miami native initially made a name for himself in the late 1980s and 1990s, as part of the legendary 2 Live Crew group.
Meanwhile, Uncle Luke also recently celebrated his 63rd birthday, in his hometown of Miami. At this event, he was also joined by friends, family, local politicians, as well as legends such as DJ Khaled, Trick Daddy, Pitbull, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, and more.
Moreover, donations were also made to Luke’s Liberty City Optimist Club. As a result, Pitbull donated $100,000, and DJ Khaled’s We The Best Foundation donated $50,000. Furthermore, speeches also went on to be made by Big Teach, DJ Khaled, and Pitbull.
“You have taught us what it is to hustle, what it is to grind, what it is to fight, what it is to own, but most of all you taught us what it is to give back,” said Pitbull. “There is no bass music, Trick Daddy, Trina, Ross, Poison Clan, JT Money, DJ Khaled, DJ Laz, Pitcbull, and I can keep going down the pipeline of all South Florida and at this point, the whole muthaf**kin world without you
