Tyla performs “Water” on “The Tonight Show”
This year, South African artist Tyla has been buzzing for her breakout “Water” single. As a result, the record soared even higher, after she released the video for it, last month. Furthermore, it also currently stands at number 46 in the US, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The visuals for it on YouTube have also currently amassed over 17 million views, ever since its initial release, over ywo weeks ago. Tyla’s breakout 2023 also included her being signed to Epic Records.
Moreover, Tyla also made her TV debut last night, by performing on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” She delivered a performance of Water, as it received high praise on social media, as well.
Last week, Tyla also trended for being featured on one of the three new “Girls Need Love” remixes that Summer Walker released. That was for the 5-year anniversary of Summer’s breakout “Last Day Of Summer” project.
Prior to Water being released, Tyla also created a buzz for herself with several other records, in the spring. Those included “Been Thinking” and “Girl Next Door” featuring Arya Starr.
