Stephen Curry scores 41 points in win over Sacramento Kings
Stephen Curry has had huge games the last two times he played in Sacramento. During the Warriors’ preseason game, against the Kings, Steph had a huge game. Once it became clear Golden State was going to win, Curry hit them with the “night night.” Before that, it was Game 7 in the playoffs, this previous season. Last night, it was a regular season game, and Steph dropped 41 to ensure Golden State doesn’t begin the season 0-2.
Stephen Curry delivered MVP-caliber seasons in 2021, 2022, and 2023. So far, it looks like he’s still right there in MVP form. Some have counted Golden State out, due to their lackluster performance last season. Also, the Warriors’ opening season loss to Kevin Durant’s Phoenix Suns have some appointing them the new class of the West. While that may be the case, the Warriors had chances to win that game, plus Draymond Green didn’t play.
Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green all believe they can potentially win two more championships. At the very least, they believe they can win one more. During an offseason interview, Steph said he didn’t see why Golden State shouldn’t win in 2024. As a result, Steph came up big in a game against a playoff rival. In order to ensure a win, leaving Sacramento, Curry left 41 points for his new signee, De’Aaron Fox, and his Kings.
