SZA sets record with “SOS” on Billboard Top R&B Albums chart
SZA has been dominating over the past year, with her new sophomore album, “SOS.” This was initially released in December, and went on to debut atop the Billboard 200 chart. Furthermore, it was also her first number one album of her career, and her first project released, since her 2017 debut studio album “Ctrl.” Moreover, SOS went on to spend its first seven weeks at number one, and 11 in total.
Meanwhile, SOS continues to dominate the charts. According to Chart Data, it has broken the record for most weeks at number one, in Billboard Top R&B Albums chart history. This comes after SOS reached 41 weeks.
SOS contained 20 songs in total, and was led by hits such as “Shirt,” “Good Days,” “Snooze,” as well as “Kill Bill,” which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart. SZA also collaborated with Phoebe Bridgers, Don Toliver, Travis Scott, and the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard. This month, SZA even dropped an acoustic version of Snooze, with Justin Bieber.
SZA also kicked off the second leg of her SOS North American Tour, last week. The opening date was held in Miami, as the tour will last until October 29, where it concludes in Phoenix.
