Duane Keith Davis arrested in connection to 2Pac murder
On Friday, an arrest was finally made, in connection to the 1996 murder of 2Pac. According to TMZ, this is the arrest of Duane Keith “Keefe D” Davis. Davis was in the same car that shots were fired out of towards 2Pac, and is the uncle of the alleged shooter, Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson. 2Pac initial got into a brawl with Anderson at the MGM Grand Arena, after a Mike Tyson boxing match, that night. 2Pac was angry that Anderson allegedly took a Death Row Records’ member’s chain.
Furthermore, Davis was also arrested in Las Vegas, by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. However, the exact charges relating to this arrest in connection to 2Pac’s murder are still unclear.
Moreover, Davis’ arrest comes after authorities search a home that they had a warrant for, as it’s owned by Davis’ wife, Paula Clemons. Among the items recovered at the time, were a computer hard drive, cell phones, a copy of Vibe magazine that had 2Pac featured on the cover, as well as .40 caliber bullets.
Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see what police in Las Vegas determined that Davis’ ultimate role was, in the 2Pac shooting. It could be a conclusion that Davis may have been the shooter instead. However, many still assume that Davis may have been an accessory to murder.
