Travis Scott’s Utopia on pace for number one debut in US
On Friday, Travis Scott released his highly anticipated fifth studio album. “Utopia.” 19 new songs were delivered, including collaborations with SZA, Future, The Weeknd, 21 Savage, Rob49, and more.
Meanwhile, Travis is on his way to having a huge first week with Utopia. According to Chart Data, the album is projected to sell between 245,000-275,000 units. Furthermore, over 350 million streams are also being accumulated. This would be Travis’ second straight number one album, as the previous one was 2018’s “Astroworld.”
Travis’ initially announced Utopia last weekend, following the conclusion of his headlining performing at Rolling Loud Miami. He also unveiled various album covers for Utopia throughout the week, before revealing the final one, on the day of the album’s release. Travis’ Utopia concert in Egypt went on to be canceled, but he has since stated that he wants to reschedule a new date.
On Saturday, Travis also went on to launch his latest Nike sneaker release, which was the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Utopia.” The Cactus Jack logo was on display, as well as Utopia wording. Travis has partnered with various Nike/Jordan Brand releases over the past four years, which have posted massive sales numbers.
