Young Thug files another motion for jail release

Young Thug has been in an Atlanta jail since last May, after he and 27 other members of his Young Slime Life crew were indicted on RICO charges. This included Gunna, as he and many other members reached plea deals. As a result, many of them were able to be released, in December.

However, Thug has been denied motions to be released from jail, three times. However, according to 11 Alive, he is filing another one. This is due to Thug and attorney Brian Steele’s claims that he cannot stay healthy in the jail that he’s being held at. They also added that Thug  is “languishing in the County Jail.”

This motion by Steele was initially filed on April 24. There, he added that Thug has access to limited healthy food options, and has to consume food that has “zero health benefits,” which includes chocolate and chips. Limited fresh air and sunlight is also apparently an issue for Thug. This all comes after Thug claimed that he had been living through inhumane conditions, inside of his cell.

Thug’s trial was initially set to begin in January. However, the jury selection process has taken on numerous delays.
