Rihanna performs “Lift Me Up” at Oscars

The 2023 Oscars are tonight, as the biggest talents in the film industry are honored. One of the most anticipated moments of the night came when Rihanna delivered a performance of “Lift Me Up.”

Lift Me Up appeared on the soundtrack for “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” This record was released several weeks before the film and soundtrack, as it was also Rih’s first solo song since 2016. At the Oscars, it was nominated for Best Original Song.

Life Me Up also did well streaming wise, as it debuted at number two in the US, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It also served as a tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman, who starred in the “Black Panther” film, in 2018.

Rihanna has been a major trending topic lately, as she performed at halftime of the Super Bowl, in Glendale, AZ, almost a month ago. It was there that she also revealed that she’s expecting her second child with A$AP Rocky. This was done so by showing off her growing baby bump, in her all-red outfit. This came very quickly, as Rihanna and A$AP welcomed their first child, in May of 2022. That pregnancy was first confirmed, that January.
