It’s funny how people can attack the media for reporting it, but see no problem with the actions. All over the nation, there are reports of minorities being attacked by members of other races. Instead of solutions, there is only finger pointing, and media blaming. Meanwhile, a woman went to Party City to get balloons for her birthday party, but ended up having to defend herself, and getting arrested for it.

Moments like these show exactly how and why life can be short. This young woman expected to be in and out of Party City. Instead of this being a minor detail in her day, the situation ended up making the news. All this woman did was park at the front of the store, with permission from the store, to get her balloons and leave.

Despite the woman getting the permission of Party City to park in front of the store, a 74-year-old White man drove up and had a problem with it. The man first confronted the woman with an argument. After that, he went as far as hitting the woman. As a result, she hit him back in self defense. When the cops were called, they arrested the woman, despite proof of her only acting in self-defense. In addition, the woman was initially charged with a felony.

After the story made the news, her charges were reduced to a misdemeanor.
